Here is what 2015 taught me:

Laughter is the best medicine.  Humor and cancer are a necessary combo!

You can laugh and cry at the same time.
Bulldogs are worth every slobbery mess they make.
Bulldogs are just worth it. Period!

God does allow you to experience far more than you can handle so He can be strong in your weakness.

I prayed for God to help me communicate well and He has flooded me with many opportunities.
People are amazing!
People are hurtful!
People will disappoint!
People are worth it!

Healing comes in many forms!

I am worth it!
Progress versus perfection is a great way to live.  And stay sane!

God > cancer

Grace wins every time!

The same power that rose Jesus from the grave lives in me.
I take Jesus everywhere I go.
Where Jesus is, change happens.

I still love “The Voice”.
I still hate politics.

Cancer will take my loved ones.  Cancer CAN’T take my memories!

Cancer does not discriminate.
You can still get strep throat when you have cancer.  At a very inconvenient time.

Friends will actually create their travel plans around where you live. Even in the summer.

I am comfortable in my skin. Even in imperfect skin.  And, I will never have perfect skin.
People love me just the way I am – no need to change or impress them.
I am no longer a slave to fear.  A neighbor losing their home to an explosion taught me this.

I am affecting lives – good or bad.  I get to choose!
I get to live this amazing, CRAZY, one life God has given me.

I am adopted.  It is a good thing.

People need HOPE.

People need me to bring HOPE into their lives.  Even when they don’t know it. Or don’t want to accept it.

Some people don’t like me.  And I am good with that.

God answers prayers in some crazy ways.  Who knew a smart phone app would be an answered prayer?

Absolute strangers make AMAZING friends!

Community is sweet!

Community is a lot of work!
Community can be brutal!
Community is necessary!

Community is worth it!

Happy New Year!!!!

I am looking forward to spending 2016 with all ya'll!!
